Founded in 1979 we are a well respected and friendly club based in the heart of Stratford upon Avon, welcoming all people from the age of 8 upwards. We aim to cater for runners of all abilities, ranging from those who just want to relax, enjoy themselves and get fit all the way across the range to those who want to compete at the highest level that their ability and dedication can take them.
The club is based at Stratford Sports Club (stratfordsportsclub.co.uk) where we share the facilities with the hockey, cricket, tennis, squash and snooker clubs.
Our main club sponsor is SimplyRun.co.uk – UK Running Specialist.
From the youngsters point of view there is a thriving junior section, giving those who are interested the chance to get involved in all aspects of track & field, cross-country and sports-hall. For the seniors, we again aim to cater for runners and other athletes of all standards, whether they are a ten-minute or a five-minute miler, running purely for fun or training for any distance race or competing in any of the sprints or field events.
We take part in road races, and depending on the season a variety of other events, including cross country, track & field and triathlon.
Our open races are organised to UK Athletics guidelines and we support the Run Britain race organisation (realbuzzrunbritain.com)
